When Torah Meets Tech Series: The Big Picture
TAC invites Rabbi David Paskin to host a series helping Chicagoland congregations navigate the waters of engaging their community in a multi-access environment.
Since the onset of the pandemic, Rabbi David has focused on the new challenges and opportunities for rabbis, cantors, educators, musicians, and communal leaders to reach, teach, and preach their Torah. In this series, he will help you find the tools and resources you need to continue to inspire, educate, and engage with your congregants, students, and community members.
How you share your Torah in a multi-access world requires a re-calibration of our goals, approaches, and expectations. In the first session “The Big Picture”, you will:
- explore what your goals are and the different methods available to you in the digital space;
- discover the role of clergy in facilitating online experiences while balancing responsibilities with serving onsite participants.
We encourage you to review the wide range of resources available on Rabbi David’s website, including a tech equipment guide, Zoom Gabbai Tech Training (each Thursday in June, from 3:30-4pm CT) and the Torah Tech Summit on June 27 (9:30am-3:30pm CT), a unique opportunity for synagogue professionals to take a deep dive into the technologies that will help bring your Torah to life.
